Big Day

We are still enjoying full bellies from our delicious Thanksgiving meals with our families. We skipped out on our normal 4am trip to the stores to get great deals and while I do feel a little guilty for not taking advantage of the specials, I sure did enjoy a little extra sleep this morning!! AND now we have geared up to prepare for Harrison's baptism on Sunday. We are having a luncheon for family afterwards, and it should be a great day. Harrison is going to wear the Harrison family baptismal gown which is BEAUTIFUL! (Just in case you didn't know, Harrison is Jason's maternal grandmother's maiden name and it is the baptismal gown from their family. It is a very special antique.) I am also excited because I am making runners for the tables as part of the decorations. It is my one attempt at being crafty so don't expect anything else anytime soon. :) I will definitely post pictures!!

Poor Savannah!

Well, it looks like Sue, Tom and Savannah will be spending Thanksgiving in Savannah. This morning, Miss Savannah went to the doctor and she has an ear infection, strep throat and RSV! Whoa!! She is one sick little girl, but Sue says she doesn't act like she feels that bad. But because RSV is so dangerous for babies and contagious (and I'm sure Savannah hardly feels like making the long trip up here), they are going to spend this one at home. BOOO to being sick on Thanksgiving.

"Weight issues resolved..."

That is a direct quote from Dr. Walker!! We had to go back in because he wasn't satisfied with Harrison's weight last week, but today he seems to be great!! He was 11 lbs, 6.8 oz--can you believe it?!?! He has gained 4 pounds and 4 ounces since he was born-whoa! He is starting to get some little fat rolls too. CUTE!

Harrison's big day

Well, we had our trial run of Harrison going to the sitter's house on Friday. Everything went smoothly, except for poor mom crying 3 times before he left the house with good ole Dad to make the trip to Carissa's house. He had a GREAT time, but I don't know who enjoyed the time more-Harrison or Carissa's youngest daughter! I am so thankful to have such a wonderful place to leave my little man when I return to work. Are you sure you have to move Carissa??

Thanks Chase

When we got home from church today, there was a message from Chase, our credit card company, stating they had noticed an irregular transaction. Long story short, someone had made a purchase at barnesandnoble.com for $80+ and it was enough to set off their fraud department. WHOA! I think that is a relatively small transaction, so the fact that they are paying such close attention is so nice. Thanks Chase!

Happy Early Thanksgiving!

This year we have a LOT to be thankful for, so we are starting our celebration early to be sure we get it all in! :) Harrison got a new Thanksgiving outfit and bib, and I have had fun taking pictures of him. Enjoy!

Josh's Visit

Jason's best friend from college, Josh, came to visit this weekend. We were so excited that he could fit a visit into his crazy schedule. He travels a LOT for work, and it was fun to get to relax with him. Unfortunately, we didn't actually get any pictures of him, but trust me, he was here! Harrison loved hanging out with him. He and Jason got to spend some quality guy time together too when they went to a local sports bar to watch football. We hope he comes back soon!

The Beach

Two weekends ago, we went to Jason's godparents' house for a long weekend. It was so nice to get away and relax. Rick and Gwyn and Ashley and Chad all joined us. Ashley made a delicious dinner Friday night with a recipe from Kara's blog (I had to give you a shout out!). Then, Chef Gwyn took over! It was a great time.

Tall and skinny

I have a ton of pictures to put up, but for now, a brief update will have to do! Jason's best friend from college, Josh, is coming today for the weekend and I have been busy busy trying to get ready for him to come. I have actually been cooking too (Ohhh...ahhh...)!

We went to Harrison's 2 month doctor's appointment on Wednesday. He is doing well over all, just tall and skinny. To make a long story short, I have mastitis, an infection in my breast that can get pretty severe if not treated properly and aggressively. We went to a great doctor who is a dermatologist and breast specialist, as well as a pediatrician so he could diagnose and treat both of us. That is nice because I was having to go back and forth between my OB and the pediatrician, which was getting annoying and complicated. Anyway, because of this, Harrison is on a strict feeding schedule. However, he is still very skinny, in the 7% of weight for his age. Because our struggle to fatten him up is still ongoing (he was in the 14% at his one month appointment), I have had to start supplementing him with formula. I know that is what he needs right now, but that doesn't make it any easier for poor ole Mom!! Now, I nurse him and then offer formula, which is just eats right up! Hopefully this will fatten him up. He has been consistently gaining weight for the past few weeks, but I don't think he has ever caught up from when he got behind early on.

Okay, I hear him stirring. I knew that swing would occupy him for only so long..More later!
