As you can see, Harrison was not the biggest fan of the sand. I am sure he learned this from his Aunt Ashley! He really didn't get too into crawling around in it at first. He did like the waves some but the water was really cold and he started to get the shivers so we didn't stay in it long.

10 minutes with Harrison
Hmm....I think I see a remote that needs to be played with.... (up on the end table)
Mommy's over here!
Whew! Okay, time for me to go rest. Just writing about chasing him around makes me tired!

Twins
We don't usually get into the whole dress your kid up like you thing, but when it comes to seer sucker, we can't resist. Jason and Harrison both wore their seer sucker to church and were oh-so cute. Harrison had his 'church shoes' on. They are a little big, but hey, when you aren't walking, it doesn't really matter, does it? Now I just need to get some blue and white seer sucker to wear, and we will be all set.

Savannah
I am still catching up on what we have done this summer!! We went to Savannah mid-July to stay with Sue and Miss Savannah because Tom had to leave suddenly to go to PA due to the terribly sudden death of his grandmother. She was a little worried that Isaiah would try to come early, so Harrison and I went to stand guard. Apparently we did a great job because he didn't come for another few weeks. But Harrison had a great time playing with Savannah. He loved her musical equipment and assembled quite a little band to play along with him. He also chewed on her teacup and chased his favorite blue ball all over her house. It was too hot to go outside so I am glad that he was happy inside!

Just chillin'
In case you were wondering what Harrison and I do on a normal day here at home, here is a sneak peek! When I have laundry to fold, we go to his room and shut the door. Then Harrison 'helps' me fold the laundry. The rule is if Mommy has folded it, Harrison doesn't need to fold it too. (I use the laundry basket as a barrier to separate his pile of laundry from my pile.) He usually gets bored when the basket starts to get empty. Then he makes his way over to his bookcase. I have made the bottom two shelves (the ones he can reach) "Harrison-friendly", which just means that all the breakable stuff is on the top two shelves. Harrison just takes down the basket and plays with it and the toys inside it. He also usually gets some books out to read. In these pictures, he is playing with the book that has his pictures in it. Brandy, who did my maternity leave for me, gave it to him and he LOVES looking at real pictures of himself. But you can see that he is quite good at making a mess, which is what babies do best! It may not be that exciting to the average Joe, but I love it!

New food
We have been letting Harrison try all sorts of new food lately. We have been feeding him more and more from our own plates as he transitions to eating more solid food. This night, Jason grabbed a pound of bbq on the way home and what did he want to do? Let Harrison try his it of course. So Jason proudly fed Harrison tiny bits of it at a time and he loved it!! I don't know who was more excited about it, Jason or Harrison.
Pool Time
I knew that Harrison would want to get in a little pool time this summer so we picked up a little inflatable pool. It is so cute!! He loves sitting in it and playing although not for long. He started trying to crawl out of it after 10 minutes, making the time he spent in the pool offically less than the time I spent blowing it up. Oh well. But look at that fat belly!!! I love it.

Walker
Harrison has also enjoyed playing with his sit to stand walker. We just converted it from the sitting kind to the standing kind. He does walk behind it, but a lot of the time he quickly gets a look of sheer terror on his face as if to say, "What in the world am I doing here?". So funny! What a big boy!
Big boy!

Shout out to all you lizards out there!
My mom's family all call each other "lizard" as a fun nickname. It has definitely taken on a life of its own because every Christmas, someone will get some crazy looking lizard thing. Now I am passing this odd gift onto the next generation. Harrison has two cute sets of lizard pajamas. Here is one set. It comes with matching shorts too (the pants have lizards all over them though so I like those best!).

11 month photos
As you can see, someone wasn't very happy about being 11 months old. Jason and I were debating the reasons why he might not be in as good of a mood as he usually is, and then realized poor little guy had a fever. I think he is probably teething, so we gave him some teething tablets and tucked him in to bed. I hope he gets well soon so he can enjoy his 11th month!
