Tongue Man
Harrison found his tongue! He loves to stick it out and blow, or just let it hang. It is a stitch! I took some video but now still pictures. So you just have to come visit to see it!

How badly do you want it?
Harrison is trying to decide how badly he wants to play with that block. Apparently not bad enough to crawl to get it!

Whew!
That's exactly how I feel today! We had a crazy day today. Jason picked Harrison up because I had an appointment at the dermatologist right after school. There were about 20 people in the waiting room when I got there, and they announced that the doctor was behind (ya think?), but I have to admit that I didn't mind. It was kind of nice to sit there and not have to think about anything. :) Anyway, the doctor looked at my hand and told me that I have been washing my hands too much. What?! I am developing blisters on my hand from overexposure to water, soap, and-you guessed it-hand sanitizer. So I have all these expensive creams (almost $400 worth-thank you insurance!) and I can only wash my hands 2-3 times a day. You mean that Germophobe Jayne can only wash her hands a few times a day? Ew. Luckily, he did recommend some soapless, waterless hand cleanser, so I promptly picked that up at the pharmacy so don't worry, I will maintain my high level of hand cleanliness.
Anyway, this blog is supposed to be about Harrison, so back to Harrison. He is FINALLY over his fever that kept rearing its ugly head for a little less than 2 weeks. Yeah! He still has a cough and sounds like he has been smoking for 20 years, but that sounds like it is breaking up. His appetite is back too, which makes me happy. He loves veggies, and I couldn't get the mixed vegetable blend of carrots, sweet potatoes, and green beans into his mouth fast enough tonight! Then, he couldn't get enough of the peas. He's still not a fan of peaches and apples, but that is the way it was before he got sick, so I think he is finally feeling better.
Harrison also started with a new sitter today, Malika. Carissa called on my birthday and told us that they sold their house (yeah!), but they were closing on 5/12, which means she has 6 weeks to pack up and find a house to move into in Atlanta (boo!). So after coming highly recommended by two trusted people, Malika has been so gracious to fill in for the rest of the year. She won't be able to do it long term, but I think Harrison, Malika and her 4 year old daughter will have great fun this spring. We are again lucky to find a sweet and loving person to keep our little angel. How did we get so lucky?
Okay, I think you are up to date, except for pictures. Those will have to wait because I am a tired girl. So that means come back soon!!

Spring Break
Harrison and I had a great spring break! We spent lots of time playing and doing all sorts of stuff together. He has actually gotten to be a very good sitter and he can entertain himself while I do things like take a shower (applause!). He is at the perfect stage where he is not yet crawling but he can do a lot of other things himself. Can I freeze him at this age? I do have some pictures from our picnic at the park on Saturday and his first Easter Egg Hunt, but the camera is in his room and he is sleeping. I will post those pictures, plus his 7 month pictures, soon.

Big Weekend
Last weekend, we had a blast!! Kara and Chris came to visit. WHOO HOO! Offically, they were here celebrating my 30th birthday (boo 30!). Anyway, Friday night, Harrison was trying to stay up to see them. When I was feeding him dinner, he lost that battle. I turned around to take a bowl to the sink, and when I turned back around, look what I found!

How funny!
After they got here, we did a whole bunch of nothing. Kara did take me to get a pedicure (here come the sandals!), which was so relaxing. Then, we met all the boys at Cookout, made a few quick trips to the store, and back to the house where we stayed until Kara and Chris left Sunday. It was so much fun and I hope we can do it again soon!
