Whew!

That's exactly how I feel today! We had a crazy day today. Jason picked Harrison up because I had an appointment at the dermatologist right after school. There were about 20 people in the waiting room when I got there, and they announced that the doctor was behind (ya think?), but I have to admit that I didn't mind. It was kind of nice to sit there and not have to think about anything. :) Anyway, the doctor looked at my hand and told me that I have been washing my hands too much. What?! I am developing blisters on my hand from overexposure to water, soap, and-you guessed it-hand sanitizer. So I have all these expensive creams (almost $400 worth-thank you insurance!) and I can only wash my hands 2-3 times a day. You mean that Germophobe Jayne can only wash her hands a few times a day? Ew. Luckily, he did recommend some soapless, waterless hand cleanser, so I promptly picked that up at the pharmacy so don't worry, I will maintain my high level of hand cleanliness.

Anyway, this blog is supposed to be about Harrison, so back to Harrison. He is FINALLY over his fever that kept rearing its ugly head for a little less than 2 weeks. Yeah! He still has a cough and sounds like he has been smoking for 20 years, but that sounds like it is breaking up. His appetite is back too, which makes me happy. He loves veggies, and I couldn't get the mixed vegetable blend of carrots, sweet potatoes, and green beans into his mouth fast enough tonight! Then, he couldn't get enough of the peas. He's still not a fan of peaches and apples, but that is the way it was before he got sick, so I think he is finally feeling better.

Harrison also started with a new sitter today, Malika. Carissa called on my birthday and told us that they sold their house (yeah!), but they were closing on 5/12, which means she has 6 weeks to pack up and find a house to move into in Atlanta (boo!). So after coming highly recommended by two trusted people, Malika has been so gracious to fill in for the rest of the year. She won't be able to do it long term, but I think Harrison, Malika and her 4 year old daughter will have great fun this spring. We are again lucky to find a sweet and loving person to keep our little angel. How did we get so lucky?

Okay, I think you are up to date, except for pictures. Those will have to wait because I am a tired girl. So that means come back soon!!
