Well, if you had asked me last Thursday if I would be saying that I had a big boy today, I would probably have burst into tears!! Last Thursday, we went to the doctor and found out that little Harrison was really too little-he was not gaining weight! He had only gained .8 ounces in a week, and in fact, he had not even gotten back up to his birth weight even though he was 3 weeks old. YIKES! So the wonderful Dr. Albright and Dr. Kearns (Sarah's husband-love him!), consoled me and told me that I need to take better care of myself so that Harrison can get all the food he needs from me. So, this weekend, our family helped me finally get through my thick head that I need to sleep, eat, drink more water, and take better overall care of myself. Well, it worked! They like to see babies gain 1/2 to 1 ounce a day, and little Harrison gained 6 ounces in 4 days. WHOO HOO! I am so proud of him (and me too I guess!). AND, Dr. Albright said that we can stop waking him up every 2 hours at night to eat (and note, he takes usually 45 minutes to eat, so that means we had about an hour and 15 minutes to sleep before the next feeding, and that was if he went right back to sleep...), so everyone will be getting some more sleep around here. YEAH!!! So we are going to keep up our new, good habits so that he can hopefully continue to grow.
Speaking of sleep, I put him down in his crib right before I started writing this, and I think he is really good and asleep, so I will be joining him in Dreamland very shortly!! I will put more pictures up later...for now, sleep is more important!

Great job on beefing up the little guy! Hope you are still doing what you need to do to take care of YOU too. Let me know if I can help in any way. You and Jason are in my prayers daily as you stumble sleeplessly through the next few weeks. Hang in there- it gets LOTS better in just a few short weeks.
Sleep well and often!
Courtney
