Last weekend, we made our long anticipated trip to South Carolina. I had been dying to get down there to see Nana and Uncle Bo for a LONG time, and I was so happy it finally worked out for us to go. We had a great visit with them, and enjoyed looking around Nana's new room at Morningside. She seems like she has really settled in nicely. The 'highlight' of the visit was Harrison's first black eye. When we first got to Nana's Saturday morning, Harrison was playing with his blocks and toppled over. He hasn't quite figured out that when you fall, you should put your hands out to catch yourself. So he went face first into a block. I really didn't see him hit the block, and I broke out into my obligatory round of applause. (Yes, I clap when he hurts himself....he looks at me for a reaction, when I give him a positive one, he goes right along like nothing ever happened. Hey, it works!) Anyway, he looked at me, and started to scream. I stopped clapping (obviously) and scooped him up. Poor little guy! He finally calmed down and enjoyed a stroll around the place in Nana's super cool chair. He loved driving it! In fact, he figured out how to turn it on and off, and he drove her into the wall a couple of times! It was quite a sight to see! Harrison also got his first taste of turkey and mashed potatoes. Yummy. He loved both. Nana told him that if he liked those potatoes, just wait until he got some REAL mashed potatoes. I can't wait to go back!

What we've been up to
