Well, today's post is not so happy. I mentioned before that my grandmother, Nana, was going to have her gall bladder removed last Wednesday. They did the surgery, and she has not gotten any relief from her pain. I think it has been very frustrating for her to still be in pain after enduring the surgery.
Yesterday, my grandfather (Nana's husband), Big Daddy, fell when he went out to take the trash out. He fell while he was out there, and laid there until the trash men came and found him. He broke his hip, and they did surgery to repair it last night. They ended up doing a partial hip replacement. He will likely stay in the hospital 3 days, and then he will go to a physical therapy facility for several weeks until he recovers. Nana, on the other hand, can not get around well enough to stay by herself, so she will be moving to an assisted living facility on Friday.
This has been very hard for my family, but especially my parents as all 3 of my grandparents have found themselves in ill-health in the last three months. It is hard enough to see people you love in pain, but all three at once makes it harder. The good news is that Mimi seems to be doing well with the services that Hospice is able to provide to her. Please continue to keep all three of my grandparents, plus my parents, in your prayers.

So sorry to hear of your family's trials. We'll be thinking of you and your folks. My grandfather had to move to assisted living this week, too. Alan's grandfather also had to go to a nursing facility recently. We definitely understand what you are going through.
Just checking in on the Grubbs (and Walkers)! Wanted you to know we are thinking about you ALL... please send our prayers to your parents, too!
Just had a free second to check out what was new with you all and read about your news with all the grandparents. You all will continue to be in our prayers as these months of transition lie ahead. Know that God has His hand on you and your family and that we are lifting all of you up in prayer.
Please call if there is anything we can do to be of help!
Love to all three of you!

Oh Jayne,
I have been right where you are and we are still coming through it. I am sorry that someone else is having to go through this. The wonderful thing is the Lord will be there right beside you. We have so felt his presence these last couple of weeks!! You will be in our prayers.
